Internal Audit Executive (Insurance Company)

Job Responsibilities:

• Execute internal audit assignments in line with the approved annual audit plan, established timelines, and recognized best practices.

• Deliver practical recommendations to enhance internal controls, risk management, and governance frameworks.

• Prepare comprehensive audit working papers and develop clear, well-structured audit reports for management review.

• Monitor, follow up, and validate corrective actions from branches and subsidiaries to ensure prompt and effective resolution of audit findings.

• Present key audit observations to the Head of Internal Audit for review, discussion, and decision-making.

• Maintain well-organized documentation, including audit reports, supporting evidence, and relevant records.

• Keep abreast of internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry developments.

• Promote compliance awareness by providing guidance and support to employees where necessary.

• Perform any additional duties or projects as assigned by the Head of Internal Audit.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.

• Professional certifications such as CIA, CA, or CPA are preferred.

• Prior experience in the insurance industry is an added advantage.

• Minimum of 2 years experience in internal audit.

• Willing to undertake the Certificate in General Insurance (CGI) examination if required.
