WHO WE ARE

Singapore Fashion Council (SFC) formerly known as Textile and Fashion Federation (Singapore) is the official association for the textile and fashion industry in Singapore. Embracing a transformative vision, SFC aspires to become a Vibrant Asian Hub for Responsible Fashion.

With a focus on three key pillars: Sustainability, Innovation & Technology and Asian Craftsmanship, SFC works closely with diverse partners across the value chain to offer thought leadership, extensive networks, and resources to drive impactful change throughout the ecosystem.

DORS, the retail showcase located at level one of Design Orchard and situated in the centre of Orchard Road, provides a physical retail space for new and emerging designers, at the renowned shopping belt of Singapore. It has the largest collection of locally based designer brands in Singapore.

The Cocoon Space (TCS), offers creative coworking and event space housed on level 2 and rooftop of Design Orchard.

About TBFI at SFC

The Bridge Fashion Innovator (TBFI) is a programme that bridges the gap between fashion, technology and sustainability. The TBFI programme can be broadly categorised into two, namely:

• Business Incubation Programme: The Business Incubation Programme comprises an 8-week bootcamp and 1-year innovation community networking. The 8-week Bootcamp is a structured programme that identifies and grooms early-stage start-ups in the fashion and lifestyle sector to refine and validate their products, services or solutions; as well as business and commercialisation strategies through knowledge transfer from industry mentors and a series of design thinking workshops. It aims to bring these businesses closer to market and investor readiness. Beyond the bootcamp, participants will also be exposed to the innovation community through networking and events, equipping them with the knowledge, tools and opportunities for business partnership and continued fundraising. The programme aims to guide and broaden participants horizons in the fashion and lifestyle sector.
• Corporate Innovation Programme: The Corporate Innovation Programme aims to induce disruptive and transformative innovation in corporations in the fashion and lifestyle industry. Most corporations want to mimic the success and speed of the best start-ups, however, they encounter three common challenges: Research and development are extremely high risk and long return. In-house innovation is neither cheap nor easy. Corporate structure is not nimble for innovations

By leveraging on Singapore Fashion Council's innovation ecosystem, the TBFI Corporate Innovation Programme assists corporations in fulfilling their desire to achieve innovation with speed and agility; and push the envelope of disruptive innovation with minimal financial risks.

Role : Innovation & Technology Intern

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a passionate and driven intern to join the Innovation & Technology Team at SFC. This role offers hands-on experience in planning and executing TBFI programs, which support the growth of startups in fashion, technology, and sustainability. If you are eager to explore the intersection of entrepreneurship, innovation, and fashion, we'd love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the planning and execution of TBFI programs, including incubation, accelerator, and challenge-based initiatives
• Assist with event coordination, including logistics, outreach, and stakeholder engagement
• Conduct market research on industry trends, emerging technologies, and key players in fashion-tech and sustainability
• Assist in content creation for program materials, reports, and marketing efforts
• Engage with startups, mentors, and industry partners to facilitate program activities
• Provide administrative and operational support as needed

Who We're Looking For:

• Open to undergraduates from all backgrounds with a keen interest in entrepreneurship, innovation, technology, and fashion
• Experience in innovation competitions, hackathons, or startup projects will be highly regarded
• Experience in event planning or project management is a plus but not required
• Passionate about sustainability and the future of fashion, with a desire to drive meaningful change
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail
• Proactive and resourceful, with the ability to work independently and in a team
• Strong written and verbal communication skill

We are looking for a minimum commitment of 4 to 6 months and prefer credit bearing internships.
