Job Responsibilities
- Gain hands-on experience addressing waste and recycling-related challenges across Marina Bay Sands, while supporting compliance with the Resource Sustainability Act (RSA) and contributing to the resort's sustainability goals.
- Assist in the planning and execution of waste and recycling related projects, including innovation pilots (POCs), stakeholder coordination, and internal engagement activities.
- Support the team in conducting waste segregation trainings for internal and external stakeholders.
- Help prepare and execute team member engagement programs focused on waste segregation awareness and RSA compliance across various departments.
- Understand and support the operation of bin centres, food waste treatment machines, waste tracking systems, and other waste management technologies for Marina Bay Sands.
- Perform basic analysis of waste and recycling data and assist in preparing presentations and communications materials for sustainability updates to key stakeholders.
- Participate in kitchen inspections to observe RSA compliance and recycling practices, gaining exposure to operational sustainability efforts.
- Support the team with research into leading sustainability innovations, including circular economy solutions, recycling technologies, and waste reduction strategies applicable to Marina Bay Sands.
- Support corporate sustainability related projects (cross-property audits, etc)
Job Requirements
Education & Certification
- Must be from related academic disciplines in Sustainability, Environmental Engineering or Project and Facilities Management
Experience
- No experience required as training will be provided
Other Prerequisites
- Possess passion, knowledge and drive to create a more sustainable world
- Ability to analyze data and articulate business value of sustainability
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work within a diverse team
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, and at least one other language
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team
