- The intern will support the Process Engineering team in developing, analyzing, and improving manufacturing processes related to wire crimping and/or other process required. The role is structured as an on-the-job training (OJT) program with strong emphasis on process planning, Six Sigma methodology, and data-driven problem solving.
- Intern will perform in the following area
- Assist in documenting end-to-end wire crimping process flows, including material handling, tooling, crimp application, and inspection steps.
- Support process planning activities such as design of experiment (DOE), work instruction development, and standard operating procedure (SOP) updates.
- Collect process data (e.g. crimp height, pull-out force, defect types) and perform basic statistical analysis under guidance.
- Introduced to six sigma methodology following DMAIC methodology to identify variation sources and improvement opportunities in process
- Assist engineers in evaluating crimping tools, applicators, and terminals, including understanding tooling setup and adjustment principles.
- Test and validate joint quality as required to evaluate process capability
- Support root cause analysis activities using tools such as Pareto charts, Fishbone diagrams, and 5-Why analysis.
- Prepare summary reports, charts, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.

- Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics & robotics, Manufacturing, or equivalent).
- Interest in process improvement, Six Sigma, and hands-on manufacturing environments.
- Able to work with data using basic tools such as Microsoft Excel (charts, formulas, statistical analysis)
- Good documentation skills and attention to detail.
