Key Roles And Responsibilities
As a Procurement Intern, you'll support the procurement team with tasks like analyzing supplier quotations, assisting in tender preparation, conducting vendor credit risk assessments, and performing data analysis to drive procurement decisions. This role offers valuable experience in procurement practices within a corporate setting.
- Quotation Analysis: Assist in comparing supplier quotations for pricing, terms, and value optimization.
- Tender Preparation Support: Aid in organizing tender documents and ensuring accuracy.
- Vendor Credit Risk Assessment: Help evaluate potential vendors financial stability.
- Procurement Process Support: Assist in tender opening and evaluation processes.
- Data Analysis: Perform data analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities, supplier performance trends, and procurement insights.
- Contract Management Assistance: Support in monitoring contract performance and maintaining documentation.
- Administrative Tasks: Perform general administrative duties and maintain procurement records.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Background in Data Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or equivalent.
- Data Analysis Skills: Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Python, or Power BI for procurement analytics.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical mindset for processing procurement data accurately.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to structure and manage large datasets effectively.
- Communication Skills: Clear and concise reporting of procurement insights.
- Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking: Ability to use data-driven approaches to optimize procurement strategies.
- Teamwork & Collaboration: Work effectively with cross-functional teams in procurement, finance, and operations.
