GFTN organises convening forums, offers advisory services on innovation ecosystems, provides access to transformative digital platforms, and invest in technology startups with the potential for growth and positive social impact through its venture fund.

Key Responsibilities:

GFTN Select Series & Strategic Support (Primary Focus)

  • Identifying high-level targets for closed-door roundtables based on sponsor wish lists and programme objectives.
  • Conduct in-depth research on potential discussants—including senior officials, industry leaders, and subject matter experts—and manage the end-to-end invitation process to secure their participation.
  • In addition to program execution, provide critical strategic support to the CEO's office and senior leadership.
  • This includes providing administrative support across the Programs and Strategy Office, including managing documentation, tracking participant lists, and preparing materials for high-level meetings and reports.

Investor Hours & Startup Community Engagement

  • Identifying and engaging partners that can serve as advocates to funnel quality startups and investors to the programme.
  • This includes assisting with startup and investor sourcing, outreach, and supporting the matchmaking process based on investment criteria and strategic alignment.
  • As a Startup Community Lead, build and nurture relationships with startup ecosystems, accelerators, and founder networks.
  • This includes conducting outreach to these communities, creating engagement opportunities that connect founders with GFTN's platforms and resources.
  • Assist in developing marketing strategies and providing operational support during events to ensure a seamless experience for all participants.

The Founders Peak Support

  • Researching content topics and assisting with speaker identification and management.
  • Develop compelling session descriptions and promotional materials, and coordinate speaker logistics to ensure the program continues to celebrate entrepreneurship and foster authentic connections among founders.

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Finance, Entrepreneurship, International Relations, or a related field.
  • Previous internship or project experience in strategic communications, startup environments, or event management is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the fintech, startup, and venture capital ecosystems is highly desirable.

Skills & Competencies

  • Exceptional Writing Skills: Ability to craft clear, concise, and compelling documents (briefing notes, concept notes) for executive-level audiences.
  • Strong Research & Analysis: Ability to identify emerging trends, key stakeholders, and strategic opportunities.
  • Organisational Excellence: Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interpersonal Finesse: Professional communication skills and the ability to engage with senior stakeholders with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and collaboration tools.
  • Adaptability: A proactive self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively across different program workstreams.
