Business Development, Investor Relations & RFP Analyst(Internship - Full-Time Conversion Track)

Investor Relations & Business Development | Marketing, Partnerships & RFP Response | 0-2 Years Experience | 6-Month Internship with Full-Time Conversion Opportunity | Singapore

About the Role

GenInnov is seeking a polished Business Development, Investor Relations Analyst to support the firm's growth in full compliance with applicable MAS regulations. This is a6-month internship structured as an on-ramp into the role, with strong performers offered full-time conversion at the end of the term. The role spans investor engagement through licensed and permissible channels, marketing and business collaborations with strategic partners, distributor relationship management, RFP/RFI monitoring and response, pre-onboarding due diligence, KYC/AML checks, and maintenance of the systems and platforms used to communicate with investors. The candidate will represent GenInnov professionally across all touchpoints, with a strong eye for visual quality in all investor-facing and marketing materials, including presentation decks built to a senior institutional standard. As an innovative firm, GenInnov embraces cutting-edge technology in all aspects of our work, and we expect the successful candidate to be actively in tune with the latest generative AI and LLM applications -leveraging these tools to enhance communications, materials production, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Investor Engagement

. Build and manage relationships with accredited investors, family offices, and institutional counterparts through permissible channels, licensed intermediaries, and referral networks in full compliance with MAS regulations

. Represent GenInnov at introductory meetings maintain a structured investor pipeline using CRM tools with regular reporting to senior management

. Maintain proactive communication with existing investors, coordinating timely distribution of fund updates, performance reports, and investor correspondence

. Coordinate investor reporting cycles, including annual reports, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery

. Organise and support investor calls, including scheduling, briefing materials, and follow-up action tracking

. Maintain the investor relationship database and communication log, ensuring records are current, complete, and audit-ready

Marketing& Business Collaborations

. Plan and execute marketing initiatives that support fundraising and brand visibility, including content calendars, newsletters, thought-leadership pieces, and website/social media updates, all subject to compliance pre-approval

. Maintain and regularly update GenInnov's blog page with fresh, compliance-approved content - market commentary, fund updates, and thought-leadership articles - to support brand visibility and SEO

. Identify and develop co-marketing and business collaboration opportunities with distributors, platforms, media partners, and industry bodies- e.g. joint webinars, panel participation, co-branded research, and speaking engagements

. Track marketing and partnership activity outcomes (engagement, leads generated, pipeline conversion) and report results to senior management to guide future collaboration decisions

. Liaise with external agencies, designers, and vendors on branding, PR, and campaign execution, ensuring consistency with GenInnov's house style and regulatory constraints on fund promotion

RFP /RFI Search & Response

. Proactively monitor institutional investor, consultant, and fund platform channels for relevant RFPs, RFIs, and manager searches maintain a tracker of live and upcoming opportunities with submission deadlines

. Lead first-draft responses to RFPs, RFIs, and due diligence questionnaires, coordinating input from Compliance, Investment, and Operations teams and ensuring consistency with approved firm positioning

. Maintain a central library of standard RFP/DDQ answers, fund data points, and track record exhibits, keeping content current as fund terms, performance, and personnel change

. Manage RFP submission timelines end-to-end, flagging resourcing needs and escalating conflicts or gaps to senior management in good time

Company& Fund Materials

. Prepare visually polished presentations, company profiles, fund fact sheets, and briefing documents on GenInnov's investment philosophy, fund strategies, and performance for use in appropriate meetings

. Design and build PowerPoint presentation decks - pitch decks, fund performance updates, roadshow and conference materials - with strong visual storytelling and consistent on-brand formatting

. Ensure all investor-facing materials are compliance-approved before use respond to due diligence questionnaires from investors and distributors

Distributor Relationship Management

. Act as primary liaison with licensed distributors promoting or distributing GenInnov's funds equip them with accurate, up-to-date materials and ensure messaging aligns with compliance standards

. Monitor distributor performance and engagement evaluate new distribution partnerships in line with regulatory requirements and strategic objectives

Investor Pre-Checks, KYC/AML & Onboarding

. Conduct pre-onboarding checks including accreditation verification and suitability assessment collect and process KYC/AML documentation per MAS requirements

. Liaise with compliance and legal to ensure documentation is complete before account activation maintain accurate investor records and flag compliance gaps promptly

. Prepare and maintain KYC/AML onboarding memos, doer/checker sign-off records, and investor due diligence files in line with GenInnov's standard templates and regulatory retention requirements

. Monitor and action periodic KYC refresh cycles and remediation exercises across the investor base, tracking outstanding items to closure

. Support responses to investor and regulator due diligence questionnaires (DDQs) relating to the firm's KYC/AML policies and controls

Systems, Website & Communications

. Operate internal onboarding and CRM systems manage external communication platforms to ensure investor correspondence is consistent, compliant, and professionally presented

. Work with the technology team to maintain and update the company website and internal systems used for external communications, ensuring accuracy, quality, and reliability at all times

Qualifications& Experience

. Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents are strongly preferred

. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline CFA, CAIA, or CMAS designation is an advantage

. 0-2 years of experience (including internships) in investor relations, business development, or fund distribution within asset management, wealth management, or financial services fresh graduates with strong relevant internship exposure are welcome to apply

. Proven experience working with licensed distributors strong knowledge of MAS regulations governing fund solicitation, distribution, and investor communications

. Demonstrated experience monitoring and responding to RFPs, RFIs, or manager searches from institutional investors, consultants, or fund platforms

. Experience planning or executing marketing campaigns, co-marketing partnerships, or industry event collaborations within a regulated financial services or asset management context

. Hands-on KYC/AML experience in a regulated financial services environment familiarity with onboarding systems and CRM platforms

. Polished personal presentation strong aesthetic sensibility with ability to produce visually compelling, on-brand investor materials

. Excellent written and verbal communication skills good understanding of public listed equity markets and fund structures

. Advanced PowerPoint / presentation design skills, with the ability to translate complex fund and performance data into clear, compelling slides

. Actively in tune with the latest generative AI and LLM tools able to leverage these to improve investor communications, RFP drafting, materials production, and day-to-day efficiency

. Proficiency in Microsoft Office familiarity with design tools(e.g. Canva, Adobe) is an advantage an existing investor or distributor network in Singapore or Asia-Pacific is a plus
