Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join Bosch for a fulfilling internship opportunity! This internship will provide valuable hands-on experience in a corporate environment, allowing you to contribute to ongoing projects while learning from experienced professionals. As an Intern, Multimodal Sensing for Smart Home Applications, you will support the following key tasks in collaboration with experienced team members.

What you will do (Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product owners, cross-functional team members in conducting research, and implementing machine learning models in the smart home living space in the food preparation and home wellbeing domains.
  • Create smart home applications that leverage information fusion and multimodal sensing technologies.
  • Develop innovative solutions in combining, analyse and interpret complex time series and visual datasets in discrete and time-series format to enhance user interactions and experiences.
  • Hands-on in integrating sensor hardware data, and optimizing the system for seamless device communication network.
  • Support team members and perform experimental design using customised apparatus.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For (Qualifications & Skills)

  • Pursuing or recently completed an Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field-or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Familiarity with ML frameworks (such as Hugging Face Transformers or TensorFlow) and experience with Python or C++-or a strong desire to deepen your skills in these areas.
  • Genuine curiosity about multimodal sensing technologies, including visual processing and time-series data analysis.
  • Exposure to IoT devices, embedded systems, and communication protocols (I2C, SPI, USB)-we value both existing knowledge and eagerness to expand your expertise.
  • A problem-solving mindset with enthusiasm for developing machine learning solutions, analyzing sensor data, and optimizing system performancee.
