Key Roles And Responsibilities
As an intern, you will support and learn across a range of sustainability-related activities, including:
- Sustainability & Climate Reporting Support
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and organising sustainability and climate-related information used in company reports
- Help check data accuracy and consistency across tables, charts, and written narratives
- Climate & Transition Analysis Support
- Support the team with analysis related to climate change impacts and energy transition scenarios
- Help organise outputs into clear tables, charts, and slides using Excel
- Decarbonisation & Data Support
- Assist with data collection, analysis, and consolidation to support decarbonisation and emissions-related planning
- Work with templates and structured datasets under guidance from the team
- Research & Benchmarking
- Conduct desktop research on sustainability and climate practices of peer companies
- Summarise observations and insights in short write-ups or slides
- Presentations & Meeting Support
- Support preparation of PowerPoint slides for internal presentations and discussions
- Assist with note taking or drafting simple meeting summaries when required
- Data Organisation & Visualisation Support
- Help to tidy sustainability-related datasets
- Gain exposure to dashboards and visual reporting tools such as Power BI (training provided; no prior experience required)
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Background in Finance, Business, Accounting, Engineering or related quantitative disciplines
- Comfortable with Excel and PowerPoint (e.g. basic formulas, charts, slides)
- Able to work with numbers and data with attention to detail
- Strong interest in sustainability, climate change, or energy transition topics
- Exposure to sustainability, climate, or ESG topics through coursework or projects
- Willingness to learn and ask questions
- Good written communication skills (clear and concise)
- Organised, responsible, and able to meet deadlines
- Basic familiarity with data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI) is advantageous but not mandatory
