Job Description
The Intern will support engineering and research activities related to high-voltage electrical systems for offshore projects, including HVAC and HVDC applications, as well as FPSO power and electrical systems. The role will contribute to technical studies, project support, and initiatives aligned with the global offshore business strategy.
Working under the guidance of senior team members, the intern will assist with technical research, standards review, system studies, and the development of technical guidance and requirements. This role offers practical exposure to offshore and marine engineering projects, including offshore wind and FPSO applications.
What You Will Do:
- Support technical studies related to high-voltage offshore electrical systems and FPSO power systems.
- Review and organize relevant IEC, IEEE, CIGRE, and other industry standards.
- Assist with gap analyses, technical reports, benchmarking, and development of technical guidance.
- Research regulatory, technical, and compliance developments relevant to offshore high-voltage systems.
- Support documentation, presentations, and internal knowledge-sharing activities.
What You Will Need:
Education and Experience
- Applicants must be working towards an electrical engineering degree at an accredited school
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Must be available to work a full internship term (4-6 months).
- Satisfactory driving record strongly preferred.
- Basic engineering knowledge .
- Must be a full-time student currently enrolled in an accredited university and pursuing a BS, MS, or Ph.D. degree in one of the following engineering disciplines:
- Obtain a working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management System.
