Job Description

What The Role Is

Under the internship programme, you will be attached to the Design Development Group (DDG).

What You Will Be Working On

During your internship, you will support DDG in design policy initiatives and architectural design studies. You will gain exposure to how design policy shapes Singapore's public housing developments, and contribute to improving how these policies are communicated to stakeholders.

You Will

  • Conduct design studies and case study research to support policy development, including technical review of architectural issues and analysis of precedent projects
  • Review design policy communication channels and propose improvements to the presentation and formatting of design guides, circulars and checklists to enhance clarity and user-friendliness
  • Explore new digital platforms and communication formats for design policy dissemination, including interactive guides, visual aids and online tools that can improve accessibility and understanding for consultant teams and other stakeholders
  • Attend project reviews and meetings, gaining exposure to how public housing projects are run and the various considerations behind real-world project implementation
