Position Overview

The Data Protection Office (DPO) at NTUC is seeking a motivated intern to support key initiatives that strengthen personal data protection governance across the organisation. The intern will work on identifying potential data breaches, setting up and managing a registry of data breach incidents, and improving how NTUC manages data breaches reporting process through clearer tracking and digitised workflows.

Job Responsibilities

  • Set up and populate a registry of personal data breaches / incidents which occur in NTUC apart from the purpose of report keeping, the registry should also track: -
  • Type of data breach
  • Root cause of data breach
  • Response time by parties

  • Set up a reporting dashboard to monitor personal data breaches / incidents and weaknesses in data protection within NTUC the dashboard should be linked to the registry of personal data breaches / incidents. This will enable NTUC to recalibrate resources to focus on strengthening data protection resilience

  • Digitalize the current personal data breach reporting process and assist with its roll out to departments this should be linked to the registry of personal data breaches / incidents

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Security, or related fields.
  2. Comfortable working with data and dashboards (e.g., Excel, Power BI / Tableau or similar).
  3. Experience with workflow digitisation tools (e.g., Microsoft Forms, SharePoint, Power Apps/Power Automate) is a plus.
  4. Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive/confidential information professionally.
  5. Clear communication and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
