Key Roles And Responsibilities
As a Corporate Communications Intern, you will support the Corporate Affairs team in executing strategic internal and external communications initiatives. This internship provides hands-on experience in communications planning, content development, and stakeholder engagement, contributing to efforts that enhance employee experience and strengthen Sembcorp's brand reputation across the region.
- Assist in coordinating internal engagement activities such as employee townhalls, recognition events, and other corporate functions
- Contribute to the creation of engaging content for internal platforms (e.g., sharepoint, teams) and external channels (e.g., LinkedIn)
- Support the development of communication materials including key messages, presentations, and briefing documents
- Help track media coverage and compile reports to evaluate communications impact
- Research and assist in preparing for leadership speaking opportunities and thought leadership initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure communication outputs align with business and brand objectives
- Perform administrative and logistics tasks to support day-to-day operations of the communications team
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Background in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or equivalent
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills in English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Canva, CapCut or similar design tools is a plus
- A creative thinker with attention to detail and a passion for storytelling
- Highly organised, resourceful, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated interest in corporate communications, media, or public affairs
