MonoLab Studio is a cross-disciplinary design practice based in Singapore and France, with an international reach and a strong contextual sensibility. As an award-winning firm, we have built a diverse portfolio spanning residential, commercial, retail, and industrial projects. Our work often integrates architecture, interiors, landscape, and urban design, with a strong focus on design quality from concept to completion.

As we expand, we are seeking an Interior Design Drafter to join our Singapore office. The selected candidate will be involved in high-end, design-driven projects and play a key role in the delivery of conceptually rich and technically resolved work. This position requires someone who is creative, highly motivated, and aligned with our design ethos.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop interior design concepts, space planning and layout proposals for a variety of project typologies.
  • Work on projects from concept development to project completion, including feasibility studies, detail drawings, and construction documentation.
  • Develop and present mood boards, material boards, and design presentations.
  • Select and coordinate materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and accessories.
  • Prepare detailed technical drawings, 2D plans and 3D visuals using mainly Autocad, Sketchup and Power Point.
  • Prepare all interior drawings such as electrical plans, lighting plans, ceiling plans, etc. wall finishing, floor finishing, carpentry drawings, and their related details.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Participate in client, consultant, and supplier meetings.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and project team members for seamless project delivery.
  • Conduct site measurements, sire surveys, and provide technical support during project execution.
  • Mentor and supervise junior designers where applicable.
  • Manage project timelines and handle multiple deadlines effectively.
  • Provide on-site support and attend site meetings when required.
  • Work beyond regular office hours and on weekends when necessary.



Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • At least 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in interior design drafting / detailing.
  • Knowledge of joinery / carpentry details and materials is appreciated.
  • Strong design sensibility with the ability to conceptualise and execute ideas with clarity.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop and Power Point is required.
  • Proficiency in rendering software such as 3ds Max, Corona, or D5 Render is recommended.
  • Good understanding of interior detailing, materials, and construction techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail with good technical and design visualization skills.
  • Skilled in space planning and interior specifications.
  • Fluent in English proficiency in Chinese is a strong advantage for liaising with regional suppliers and clients.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Responsible for producing high-quality 2D and 3D visuals.
