Job Overview
We are seeking a creative and technically proficient interior designer with strong familiarity in cross-border workflows to support high-end residential and commercial projects from conceptualization through to technical documentation, fabrication coordination, and installation.
Job Scope (Key Responsibilities)
- Develop personalized design concepts and space plans based on client lifestyle needs, functional requirements, and budget constraints.
- Produce comprehensive construction drawings, millwork details, and material specifications suitable for local submissions and overseas workshop fabrication.
- Coordinate the cross-border workflow by liaising with clients and on-site contractors while communicating with overseas fabricators and suppliers.
- Conduct site visits across locations to verify measurements, monitor fabrication progress, and oversee installation quality.
- Support pre-sales efforts by assisting with lead management, concept presentations, and preliminary budget advice.
- Track project timelines, budgets, and material procurement to ensure smooth project execution from concept to handover.
- Source materials and FF&E from vendors across different markets, obtaining quotations and managing cost comparisons.
- Collaborate with senior designers and the sales team to prepare high-quality presentations and design proposals.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field with 2 to 4 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrable familiarity with cross-border workflows, including designing for clients in one market while coordinating fabrication or procurement across borders.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3DS Max/Vray, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office for documentation, modeling, and presentations.
- Meticulous in producing clear construction drawings with understanding of millwork detailing suitable for overseas workshops.
- Strong fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in languages relevant to key supplier markets is a significant advantage for workshop coordination.
- Client-centric mindset with ability to understand needs and deliver designs aligned with vision and budget.
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
