RESPONSIBILITIES
THE ROLE: Interim Commercial Operations Manager
In this role you will take on a senior strategic role working closely with the head of international markets to lead and develop the Kaplan Financial business in Singapore. You will maintain and grow relationships with key stakeholders such as professional institutes as well as overseeing the day-to-day operations of the business managing the freelance faculty base as well as the student services team based in the centre.
Relationship management
- To build and maintain relationships with governing bodies, institutes and other key influencers in the training and education sphere in Singapore.
- To support the recently appointed business development manager to identify leads and sales opportunities and drive value within the business.
- Create strong and collaborative relationships with strategic partner organisations such as professional and industry bodies as well as potential commercial partners through both virtual and in face-to-face visits.
Product & Marketing
- Review current product offering in the Singapore market and propose a plan for 2026/2027 course offerings to ensure a commercial and profitable organisation.
- Work closely with the UK Learning & Curriculum team to provide an excellent and culturally relevant student experience utilising UK products where possible to enhance the Singapore offering.
- Work closely with the UK and Regional Marketing and Sales teams to identify areas of synergy and opportunities for growth
Academic leadership/management
- Manage the Kaplan Financial academic team of freelance faculty to ensure quality and consistent delivery of content and student/ client satisfaction.
- Oversee recruitment/realignment of faculty as and when required to support strategic plans and future needs.
- Review and update course structures and course planning in line with commercial assessment.
- Oversee provision of course materials and content to students and faculty.
- Take on teaching requirements as part of the faculty.
- Service staff and agent management
- Oversee the work of the Assistant Manager, student services who is responsible for programme management operations, CBE planning and student administration.
- Maintain agent tracking file and monitor compliance with contractual agent obligations.You'll also carry out other duties, within the broad scope and spirit of your role, as requested by your manager. Our business continuously evolves, so your role will too.

What you'll bring
- As a manager at Kaplan you will be confident in identifying, understanding and giving priority to meeting the needs of the customer and potential customers but also supporting other members of the Singapore team in meeting their goals.
- You will be comfortable taking the lead on projects to expand the market reach of Kaplan Financial working with the Head of International markets.
- Ideally you will have an awareness of the service and products offered by the wider business and be able to utilise this knowledge to achieve additional sales.
- You will have strong communication skills in written and oral information and you will demonstrate an ability to be well organised, efficient and self-disciplined. You will be able to plan and schedule a variety of tasks in advance and manage priorities as appropriate.
- You should demonstrate a commitment and enthusiasm to achieve goals and targets and deliver a high-quality of work.
- You should be self-motivated and happy to work independently as well as part of the local Singapore team and the wider international markets team.
- You will be technically proficient in microsoft and google operating systems.

QUALIFICATIONS- Candidates should possess at least a Bachelors Degree in Business or a related field
