Insurance Risk Specialist - Global Manufacturing Firm

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Risk Specialist to lead insurance-related risk management and loss prevention initiatives across advanced manufacturing operations. This role will focus on identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational and property risks while partnering closely with internal stakeholders, insurers, and insurance brokers to enhance site resilience and protect critical assets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement loss prevention strategies to reduce property damage, operational disruption, and business interruption risks.
• Conduct risk assessments and site inspections across manufacturing facilities, warehouses, utility systems, and construction projects.
• Evaluate fire protection systems, asset protection controls, emergency response plans, and business continuity measures.
• Partner with Engineering, Facilities, EHS, Construction, and Operations teams to identify and address key risk exposures.
• Manage relationships with insurance brokers, insurers, underwriters, and risk engineering consultants.
• Support insurance renewals, underwriting submissions, risk surveys, and insurer site visits.
• Track and drive closure of risk improvement recommendations from insurers and third-party engineering assessments.
• Review incidents, claims trends, and loss data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Provide risk management expertise during facility expansion, construction, and capital projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management, Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in insurance risk management, loss prevention, industrial risk engineering, construction risk management, or insurance broking.
• Hands-on experience assessing risks in manufacturing plants, warehouses, industrial facilities, or construction projects.
• Hands-on experience working with insurers, underwriters, and insurance brokers.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and report-writing skills.
