Instructional Designer
We are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to develop interactive, engaging e-learning courses for educators/teachers. This role involves transforming text-heavy documentation into SCORM-compliant e-learning courses, ensuring high-quality instructional design, interactivity, and seamless integration.
The ideal candidate will oversee the entire course development process from conceptualisation to deployment, using tools like Articulate Storyline 360 or Adobe Captivate.
This is an initial 6-month contract, with the potential to extend up to 12 months based on project needs and performance. You will develop 8 e-learning courses for educators and teachers from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Course Development & Design: Create SCORM-compliant e-learning modules optimised for LMS delivery.
- Full-Cycle Development: Manage the end-to-end e-learning course creation process, from instructional design to technical development and implementation.
- LMS Integration: Ensure seamless compatibility, deployment, and functionality of e-learning courses within an LMS.
- Interactive Learning: Design engaging, interactive learning experiences to improve learner engagement and retention.
- Project & Time Management: Manage timelines, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure timely course delivery.
- Evaluation & Improvement: Analyse learner feedback and performance data to enhance course effectiveness.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: 3-5 years in instructional design and e-learning course development.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, or communication is preferred.
- E-Learning & Multimedia Development: Proficiency in Articulate Storyline 360 is a must. Experience with Adobe Captivate, Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Dreamweaver is a plus.
- LMS & Technical Knowledge: Hands-on experience working with LMS platforms, with a basic understanding of HTML and Flash programming (preferred).
- Instructional Design Expertise: Strong knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to assess learning effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Agile Work Environment: Experience in Agile environments is a plus.
