Job Summary
Manage and grow institutional client relationships by delivering tailored research and trading solutions. Collaborate with global teams to implement sales strategies, provide market insights, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive revenue growth in a dynamic capital markets environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and develop institutional client relationships by understanding client needs and delivering tailored offshore trade and research solutions
- Implement sales strategies to enhance client portfolios and promote research services, identifying growth opportunities and maintaining regular client communication
- Provide relevant market insights and research from a global perspective to support Malaysian institutional clients and connect global sales and trading teams for superior client service
- Collaborate closely with Global Sales teams, research analysts, and trading desks to coordinate efforts and optimize client outcomes
- Ensure compliance with MAS regulatory requirements and internal policies related to trading and client interactions
- Prepare and present regular performance reports to clients and internal stakeholders, tracking sales performance and client feedback for continuous improvement
- Adapt to changing capital markets conditions by adjusting strategies and maintaining resilience in delivering high-quality client service despite evolving requirements
- Demonstrate commercial focus by driving client service efforts that contribute to firm revenue and applying entrepreneurial thinking to integrate global market insights
- Foster teamwork by prioritizing firm interests and enhancing team dynamics within a multinational environment
- Travel as needed to meet client demands and support business growth
Required competencies and certifications
- Strong writing skills to clearly communicate complex ideas in simple, direct terms
- In-depth knowledge of global capital markets to inform client solutions and sales strategies
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multinational team environment
- Up-to-date licensing with MAS is required to comply with regulatory standards
- Minimum 5 years of direct relationship management experience covering Malaysian institutional clients in a research sales capacity
- Adaptability to rapidly changing market conditions and work requirements
- Determination and resilience to maintain consistent high-quality client service amid uncertainty
- Commercial acumen with a client service focus to drive revenue and add value
- Willingness to travel as needed to fulfill client and business needs
- Additional SEC licensing may be beneficial to support cross-border client interactions and compliance
