Position Description
You will work in Singapore reporting to the Head of Sales & Trading Division. You will play an instrumental role in developing and monetizing business relationships from institutional investors, including sovereign funds, international LOs and hedge funds. You will support the firm's institutional equities platform by providing day-to-day coverage with assigned clients, distributing high quality research, generating actionable investment content, arranging insightful corporate or/and expert meetings, and executing primary deals (IPOs/Placements) focusing on Hong Kong/China markets.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage, cultivate and grow a designated list of mid-tier institutional accounts, while supporting the desk on Tier-1 global accounts
- Synthesize daily research reports, market and macro news into concise, actionable investment themes tailored for clients
- Stay close to market trends, sector developments and investor positioning
- Support deal distribution, investor feedback collection, roadshows and corporate access events
- Follow up new account opening process, address client requests and inquiries, daily operational tasks and ensure timely execution of all activities
- Assist team head and management with internal report generation
- Demonstrate strong integrity, a sense of compliance, and a willingness to learn and grow
- Manage ad-hoc projects and other duties as assigned by your managers
Experience and Skills
- Bachelor's degree preferably in finance or related discipline.
- 3-8 years experience in Equity Sales or Research in a reputable brokerage
- Sound understanding of Hong Kong/China equity markets, including the mechanics of Stock Connect and also various valuation methodologies
- Sharp commercial acumen and the ability to connect the right research insights to the right client
- Excellent attention to details and work ethics
- Good interpersonal skills and able to negotiate practical solutions across various function and levels of seniority
- Fluency in both spoken and written English and Mandarin a must
