Purpose of the Job:
- To assist the installation and upgradation of signalling system.
Responsibilities:
- Reports directly to the Installation Manager.
- In charge of making sure that the signalling system is installed in conformity with the Basic and Detail Designs, the installation procedures, the QA/QC system and the Time Schedule in place and cost.
- Report on all technical aspects about Detail Design and NCR from supplier.
- During the installation, he/she is required to organise the tasks, in a competent and consistent way, so that all key activities are properly done and controlled.
- Have to alert and report to management on any concerns related to the job and especially regarding: EHS, Quality, Access, Customer requirement, etc.
- Responsible for the onsite Quality Plan & EHS Plan implementation.
- Ensure sites are properly stocked with test tools and the test tools are periodically calibrated as per Alstom's standards.
- Liaise with Engineering / supplier for any design changes and modifications necessary subject to installation results.
- Develop productive relationships with client's teams to ensure successful handover and post-implementation operation of projects.
- Plan and schedule site Installation activities in accordance to the project schedule.
- Prepare method statements and risk assessments for the installation and decommissioning activity.
- Complete the 4M checklist.
MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES
Educational Requirements (Mandatory):
- Graduation qualification in an Electrical/Electronics discipline.
Educational Requirements (Desirable):
- Holding Master's degree in an Electrical/Electronics engineering discipline.
Experience:
- 5+ Years in railways signalling system installation.
Mandatory:
- Experience in signalling system installation.
- Knowledge of client Company Standards and an understanding of appropriate legislation.
- Awareness of Health, Safety & Environmental requirements.
- Experience of working with railway construction methods and materials used.
Desirable:
- Positive approach and attitude.
- Experience of Electrical/Mechanical Design packages.
- Experience in installation and supervision of M&E equipments and Power Rail system.
