The role
This is a hands-on management role within our Product team, focused on serving our financial services clients in Asia. You will have line management responsibility for a small team, while also owning day-to-day operational delivery: maintaining high-quality client outputs, applying established research and operational approaches, and providing coaching and support to more junior team members.
This is a temporary maternity cover contract for 6 months starting in June 2026.
Key Responsibilities
Client leadership and delivery excellence
- Presenting to clients and ensuring presentations meet expectations with regards to actionability, accuracy and timeliness
- Maintaining a deep understanding of clients strategic priorities and demonstrating this understanding in your dealings with clients
People leadership, coaching and capability building
- Reviewing and providing feedback on the work of more junior members of the team, ensuring feedback is understood and acted upon, and maintaining consistent quality of team output
- Cascading subject matter expertise through the analyst team and broader business
- Leading training sessions and implementing ongoing internal training programs and knowledge sharing
- Coaching and development of team members ensuring they are engaged and fulfilled in their careers at RFI
Product and research delivery
- Applying established research approaches and methodologies, identifying incremental improvements where appropriate
- Identifying and delivering agreed updates to our product coverage in response to client needs and market dynamics
Operational excellence and planning
- Delivering product or process initiatives that support client experience and improve efficiency
- Working closely with the Managing Director to ensure resources are utilised effectively and forward planning is undertaken
Business development and account growth
- Working closely with the Managing Director in the acquisition of new clients and servicing of existing ones
Requirements
- Experience in a research agency environment or research role
- Experience working with banks / financial services providers
- An ability to focus on client service above all else
- Experience of using data and research to deliver actionable insights
- Experience managing primary research from the design stage through delivery
- Experience presenting research and insights to clients at a senior management level
- Comfort working independently in a fast-moving environment, prioritising BAU delivery and effective stakeholder communication
- The ability to lead, engage and drive a high performing team
- The ability to work and communicate effectively
- Experience of using data/research software such as SPSS and Q
- Excellent leadership and organisational skills
- A practical, delivery-focused mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and good operational judgement
