We are seeking a results-driven Inside Sales Representative to join a Fortune 500 company supporting data center projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing customer orders, developing sales opportunities, supporting business growth, and building strong, long-term customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Process customer orders received via email and phone, ensuring order details are accurately verified, entered, and coordinated through fulfillment.
- Communicate product availability, stock status, backorders, and expected delivery dates to customers in a timely and professional manner.
- Identify and develop opportunities to increase sales by recommending complementary products, communicating product features and benefits, and analyzing customers purchasing history.
- Own, qualify, and develop sales opportunities generated by marketing, outside sales, and national account teams, with appropriate guidance and support.
- Prepare, issue, and proactively follow up on verbal and written quotations to convert opportunities into sales.
- Analyze lost opportunities and customer feedback to understand reasons for non-conversion and identify areas for improvement.
- Monitor open customer orders and proactively address outstanding items, particularly orders that may be at risk of missing committed delivery dates.
- Maintain accurate distribution system backorder reports, customer expediting reports, and related customer communications.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive pricing, market developments, and customer feedback, and provide relevant insights to management.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships while identifying opportunities for repeat business, account development, and revenue growth.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including sales, operations, customer service, and distribution, to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma qualification or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, inside sales, sales administration a related commercial role.
- Demonstrated ability to prospect, promote products and services, and develop new business opportunities with existing and prospective customers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
- Ability to handle, troubleshoot, and resolve routine customer and order-related issues efficiently and professionally.
