Job Description

Our client, a leading Japanese insurance services company, is seeking a proactive and self-motivated professional to join their team as an Innovation Research Analyst / Senior Analyst.

This role reports directly to the Director.

【Responsibilities】
1. Research on Emerging Trends in Singapore and APAC
- Conduct research on innovations and emerging trends across the insurance, financial services, healthcare, aging, and childcare sectors in Singapore and the APAC region.
- Analyze developments in AI, AI governance, FinTech, HealthTech, InsurTech, digital health, data utilization, and related areas.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and research findings for management and headquarters in Japan.

2. Ecosystem Network Building
- Develop and maintain relationships with financial institutions, insurance companies, startups, technology companies, venture capital firms, accelerators, universities, and government agencies.
- Conduct networking and information-gathering activities within Singapore's innovation ecosystem.
- Identify potential partners and evaluate collaboration opportunities.

3. Events and Community Engagement
- Participate in conferences, seminars, and industry events in Singapore and overseas.
- Gather market insights and industry developments through participation in relevant events.
- Support the planning and execution of internal and external events, study visits, and roundtable discussions.

4. PoC and Business Collaboration Initiatives
- Plan and drive Proof of Concept (PoC) projects with startups and external partners.
- Coordinate communications with headquarters in Japan, group companies, and external stakeholders.
- Support project management activities, including progress monitoring, issue tracking, and reporting of PoC outcomes.

5. Headquarters Collaboration and Strategic Support
- Share insights and market developments from Singapore with headquarters in Japan to support strategic initiatives and new business development.
- Provide market intelligence and insights relevant to the Japanese market.
- Support the preparation of management presentations and strategic reports.
- Present findings and activity updates to management, including participation in business trips to Japan when required.

Requirement

【Requirements & Preferences】

(Must)
- Degree qualification in any discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in finance, FinTech, insurance, HealthTech, consulting, innovation, research, business planning, partnership development, or related fields.
- Proficiency in both English and Japanese (spoken and written) to communicate with Japanese-speaking stakeholders, business partners, and headquarters in Japan.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word) and Microsoft Copilot.
- Strong research, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:

- Research, business planning, or partnership development related to digital payments, cross-border remittance, digital assets, FinTech solutions, or related areas.
- Digital insurance initiatives, AI implementation projects, customer experience enhancement, or innovation-related projects within insurance or InsurTech environments.
- Business development, market research, or innovation initiatives within healthcare, HealthTech, wellness, elderly care, or related sectors.
- Strategy development, new business initiatives, digital transformation (DX), or innovation-related projects across financial services, insurance, healthcare, or related industries.
- Startup engagement, Proof of Concept (PoC) initiatives, ecosystem development, innovation partnerships, venture building, or corporate venture capital (CVC) activities.
- Experience preparing presentations, reports, and recommendations for management or senior stakeholders.
- Interest in emerging technologies, innovation ecosystems, and new business development.
