Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Support Engineer to provide onsite support for enterprise IT infrastructure, ensuring the availability, security, and performance of network, server, storage, and security systems. The role involves daily operations, troubleshooting, maintenance, patch management, incident response, and vendor coordination in a production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Operations
- Monitor, maintain, and support network, server, storage, and security infrastructure.
- Perform health checks, preventive maintenance, and system monitoring activities.
- Support network devices including switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, and related connectivity components.
- Assist in server administration, system recovery, hardware troubleshooting, and capacity monitoring.
Incident & Problem Management
- Investigate and resolve infrastructure incidents affecting service availability.
- Perform onsite troubleshooting and coordinate escalations with internal teams and vendors.
- Support service restoration activities within agreed response timelines.
- Participate in root cause analysis and issue resolution.
Change & Patch Management
- Execute approved infrastructure changes, upgrades, firmware updates, and patch deployments.
- Perform configuration backups, validation testing, and rollback procedures.
- Support vulnerability remediation and system hardening activities.
Documentation & Vendor Coordination
- Maintain infrastructure documentation, asset inventories, network diagrams, and operational records.
- Coordinate with hardware vendors, service providers, and project teams for troubleshooting and maintenance activities.
- Prepare operational reports and support audit and compliance requirements.
Requirements
Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure in a production environment.
- Experience in incident management, infrastructure operations, maintenance, and patch management.
Technical Skills
- Good understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewall concepts.
- Experience supporting network devices, servers, and operating systems.
- Familiarity with Windows Server and/or Linux environments.
- Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, VMware, Dell, or HPE technologies.
- Exposure to storage systems, RAID, SNMP, Syslog, and infrastructure monitoring solutions.
- Experience supporting data centers, critical infrastructure, transportation, utilities, or industrial environments.
Other Requirements
- Willing to work onsite in Singapore.
- Able to support after-hours maintenance and emergency incidents when required.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Certifications
- CCNA
- Fortinet Associate / NSE
- ITIL Foundation
- VMware or equivalent infrastructure certifications
