Infrastructure Middleware Engineer (Middleware Administration)

Direct Contract role

Location: East, Singapore

We are looking for a hands-on Infrastructure Middleware Engineer to support and maintain enterprise infrastructure environments across operating systems, middleware, databases, LDAP, and container platforms. The role involves system administration, troubleshooting, deployment support, and collaboration with internal and customer-facing teams to ensure reliable and scalable infrastructure operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support Windows, Linux, IBM AIX, and Solaris environments.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain middleware platforms such as IBM WebSphere, IBM MQ, JBoss EAP, and JBoss A-MQ.
• Manage databases including IBM DB2, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
• Support LDAP services such as IBM Security Directory Server and Apache LDAP.
• Deploy and maintain Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift environments.
• Perform system troubleshooting, patching, upgrades, and performance optimization.
• Support infrastructure planning, sizing, deployment activities, and technical discussions with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and operational support.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in Infrastructure, System Administration, or Middleware Support.
• Experience across both operating systems and middleware administration.
• Good understanding of application architecture, web servers, application servers, databases, authentication, and messaging systems.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux Shell scripting.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Cloud platform exposure (AWS, Azure, GCP, or Red Hat OpenShift) is an advantage.
• Relevant cloud or Red Hat certifications are a plus.
