Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Day 2 infrastructure team to ensure stable, secure, and continuous operations of servers, network devices, storage systems, and on-premise infrastructure.

  • Manage infrastructure incidents, troubleshoot technical issues, and coordinate escalations with vendors or higher-tier support teams when required.

  • Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, patching activities, and capacity expansion initiatives based on operational needs.

  • Develop and maintain infrastructure architecture documentation, system diagrams, SOPs, and technical runbooks.

  • Collaborate with application, middleware, and system teams to support deployment, integration, and environment readiness.

  • Monitor infrastructure health, performance, and resource utilization using enterprise monitoring tools, ensuring proactive issue detection.

  • Ensure compliance with government IT security policies, InfoSec requirements, and operational governance standards.

  • Coordinate backup operations, disaster recovery readiness, and business continuity planning activities.

  • Provide regular status reporting on incidents, risks, system health, and infrastructure improvement recommendations.

  • Mentor and guide infrastructure engineers, driving technical knowledge sharing and operational excellence.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years of hands-on IT infrastructure experience, preferably in government or regulated environments.

  • Strong technical expertise in server administration, network infrastructure and enterprise storage platforms.

  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere or equivalent platforms.

  • Hands-on exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

  • Familiarity with container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Experience with infrastructure monitoring and automation tools such as Grafana, Nagios, Ansible and Terraform.

  • Good understanding of ITIL processes, incident management, change management, and operational support practices.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Proven leadership capability in managing small technical teams and supporting 24/7 critical infrastructure operations.
