Key Responsibilities
- Monitor & measure the performance & availability of systems proactively implement corrective actions identified to improve performance & availability.
- Provide onsite field support for servers, networks, firewalls, VPNs, NAS, desktops, and laptops, etc
- Troubleshoot network issues (LAN/WAN, VLANs, WiFi) and firewall configurations.
- Perform remote support, incident resolution, and system administration tasks.
- Execute service continuity measures, e.g. backup/restore procedures & disaster recovery plan dry run to ensure continuous operation of the business.
- Conduct preventive maintenance, patching, backup verification, and security checks. Manage and track IT assets throughout their lifecycle, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with organizational policies.
- Respond promptly to incident, investigate & provide temporary &/or permanent resolution of incidents escalated. Provide timely status updates to relevant parties.
- Conduct root cause analysis & implement pro-active measures. Monitor effectiveness of implemented measures.
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and IT documentation.
- Conduct cloud migration and infrastructure upgrade projects (e.g., M365, Azure AD).
- Gather business and/or application requirements on the infrastructure, conduct impact analysis, suggest design/re-design to integrate the change into the existing environment.
- Manage systems changes through established change request process & provide status reports to the relevant parties.
- Support security operations, endpoint protection, and incident remediation.
- Ensure the management of systems adhere to ITIL best practices/ITSM and methodologies (e.g., change management, release management, incident management, problem management, configuration management).
- Coordinate with third-party vendors.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in IT, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 4-6 years of hands-on infrastructure experience in a commercial environment
- Strong technical skills in Windows Servers, Microsoft365, networking, firewalls, VPN, virtualization, and NAS backups, amongst other software skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with a problem-solving mindset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
- Motivated team player with attention to detail, capable of working independently as well.
