Job Description
We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Linux and VMware environments, preferably with exposure to enterprise or banking production support systems.
Key Responsibilities
Linux / Unix Administration
- Install, configure, and maintain RHEL / Oracle Linux / SUSE / Ubuntu servers
- Perform OS patching, upgrades, and vulnerability remediation
- Manage file systems, LVM, permissions, and system performance tuning
- Troubleshoot OS, network, and server issues in production environments
- Perform user management, cron jobs, and system hardening activities
VMware / Virtualization
- Support VMware vSphere environment (ESXi / vCenter)
- Manage virtual machines (provisioning, cloning, basic troubleshooting)
- Support VM performance monitoring and resource allocation
- Assist in VM migration and maintenance activities
Infrastructure Operations / Support
- Provide L2/L3 production support for infrastructure incidents
- Support incident, problem, and change management processes
- Work in 24x7 enterprise production environments
- Perform system health checks and monitoring activities
- Participate in DR and backup validation activities
- Support enterprise or banking applications in production
- Work with application teams for issue resolution and system stability
- Ensure compliance with SLA and operational standards
Required Skills & Experience
- 5-12 years of experience in Linux system administration
- Strong hands-on experience in VMware vSphere / ESXi
- Experience in production support (L2/L3) environments
- Good troubleshooting skills across OS, VM, and infrastructure layers
- Exposure to enterprise monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
