Job Description

Overview

Our client is a large, complex organisation in the education sector, with a strong focus on delivering secure, modern, and scalable digital workplace services. They are seeking an Infrastructure Architect (Endpoint) to shape and drive the strategy for enterprise endpoint environments across a diverse user base, ensuring devices and platforms remain secure, reliable, compliant, and easy to use.

Role

This appointment will lead the roadmap, architecture, and operational delivery of endpoint management services spanning Windows and macOS devices, mobile platforms, and virtual desktop environments where relevant. The role will oversee endpoint engineering, provisioning, software deployment, patching, monitoring, and service improvement, while partnering closely with cybersecurity, infrastructure, service management, and business stakeholders. In addition, the successful candidate will lead and mentor a team, manage vendors and budgets, strengthen endpoint security and compliance practices, and drive automation and continuous improvement across the environment.

Requirements

Candidates should hold a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline, although equivalent hands-on experience will also be considered. The ideal applicant brings significant experience managing large-scale enterprise endpoint environments, with a strong track record built over at least a decade in similar positions. You should possess deep expertise in endpoint management and security technologies, including tools such as Intune, SCCM/ConfigMgr, Jamf, Workspace ONE, EDR solutions, encryption, and identity integration platforms. A solid foundation in both Windows and macOS administration is essential, along with exposure to mobile device management and major deployment or transformation programmes. The role also calls for demonstrated leadership, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and capabilities in service delivery and automation, supported by knowledge of ITIL processes, scripting, compliance, and ongoing service improvement.
