We are looking for an IT operator to join our client's site, and your scope of work involves:
Role and Responsibilities:
- You ensure the availability and performance of the infrastructures, equipment, software and processes supporting the data. To anticipate anomalies, batch delays, FileSystem problems, etc.
- Batch Job Management - monitor the end-of-day batch and ensure that it starts on the prescribed time, perform first-level analysis if there's failure, perform recovery, and involve other stakeholders when necessary.
- Application System and Infrastructure Monitoring constantly monitor the alerts from the monitoring tool that tell whether an application, server, website, service, disk space or other system resources are having issue and inform the support persons if necessary.
- Service Requests and User Support handling of user requests such as running of one time job, scheduling of new job, copying and resending of a file, troubleshooting transactional problem and involving other experts if necessary.
- System Patch and Upgrade support the regular third party system upgrade and patches and minimize any disruption
Technical Skills
- At least 5 years of experience working in the similar capacity role handling batch processing jobs. If you have experience within application production support environment, you are welcome to apply for the role.
- Good knowledge with Unix, TWS, Shell Script, Python and Splunk is highly advantageous.
