IT Intern (July - Dec 2026)
Clarins is seeking for an Application Management Intern to support inventorying and cleaning up the application portfolio, ensuring strategic alignment with migration objectives. You will play a pivotal role in accelerating migration readiness and gain hands-on experience in real-world IT asset management and application rationalization.
Inventory & Collection
- Gather existing information from multiple sources: legacy documentations, ITSM tool, interviews with business owners, and discovery tools.
- Consolidate metadata: business owner, SLA, version, technology, hosting, database, integrations, annual cost, user volumes.
Identification & Cleanup
- Analyze actual usage (usage patterns, volumes, frequency), detect redundant or inactive applications.
- Identify risks (security, compliance, dependencies) and technical blockers (unsupported platforms, legacy code).
Mapping & Prioritization
- Produce functional and technical application maps highlighting dependencies and data/transaction flows.
- Create a criticality vs. complexity/value matrix (business impact vs. technical complexity) to prioritize candidates for migration, consolidation, or retirement.
Planning & Recommendations
- Propose a migration roadmap with phases (Quick wins / Mid-term / Long-term) and high-level effort/risk estimates.
- Identify technical and human prerequisites for each phase (testing, data migration, hardening).
Documentation & Reporting
- Draft clear deliverables: structured inventory, migration playbook per application, and presentation materials for sponsors.
- Maintain data freshness and traceability of sources and methods.
Collaboration & Communication
- Run alignment workshops with business stakeholders and IT teams to validate data and governance decisions.
- Handover deliverables to teams responsible for migration execution.
YOU HAVE:
- Able to commit to full-time internship for a duration of 6 months (July - Dec 2026)
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of programming languages such as Python or R, familiarity with data analysis tools like SQL
- Exposure to AI tools (eg: Microsoft Copilot) and BI tools (eg: QlikSense, Tableau) is a plus.
