Job Description

The IT Infrastructure & Operations Manager is responsible for the overall reliability, availability, security, performance, and lifecycle management of the organization's IT infrastructure environment.

This role serves as the primary owner of infrastructure services including networks, servers, cloud platforms, end-user computing, storage, backup and recovery, and enterprise infrastructure technologies.

The incumbent will lead internal infrastructure operations while managing outsourced service providers and operational support teams to ensure service delivery aligns with business requirements, cybersecurity standards, regulatory obligations, and operational excellence objectives.

The role also plays a key part in supporting the company's digital transformation roadmap, Industry 4.0 initiatives, and long-term technology modernization strategy while ensuring operational resilience and business continuity for critical enterprise and manufacturing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and execute the enterprise infrastructure roadmap aligned with business and digital transformation goals
  • Drive continuous improvement across performance, resilience, scalability, and cost optimization
  • Lead modernization initiatives including cloud adoption, automation, virtualization, and network transformation
  • Establish infrastructure architecture standards and lifecycle management practices
  • Provide technical and strategic advisory support to internal stakeholders

Infrastructure & Operations Management

  • Oversee enterprise infrastructure environments including networks, servers, storage, backup, cloud, and end-user computing
  • Ensure high availability, reliability, scalability, and security of infrastructure services
  • Manage enterprise networking services including LAN/WAN, VPN, wireless, firewalls, remote access, and OT/IT integration
  • Oversee Windows Server environments, virtualization platforms, enterprise storage, and disaster recovery environments
  • Manage Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud infrastructure, including governance, security, and cost optimization

End User Computing & IT Service Management

  • Manage lifecycle of desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and endpoint technologies
  • Govern Microsoft Intune, software deployment, patching, and endpoint compliance
  • Oversee outsourced service desk and operational support functions
  • Ensure ITIL-aligned incident, problem, change, request, and asset management processes
  • Drive continuous improvement in service delivery and end-user experience

Vendor & Managed Services Governance

  • Manage outsourced infrastructure and operational service providers
  • Define and enforce SLAs, OLAs, and KPIs
  • Conduct regular service reviews and vendor performance assessments
  • Lead vendor negotiations, contract renewals, and service optimization initiatives

Cybersecurity, Risk & Business Continuity

  • Partner with cybersecurity teams to secure infrastructure environments
  • Manage vulnerability remediation and infrastructure security controls
  • Support monitoring, audits, and incident response activities
  • Maintain disaster recovery capabilities and conduct regular DR testing exercises
  • Ensure operational resilience and continuity for critical business and manufacturing systems

Project Delivery & Technology Enablement

  • Support infrastructure enablement for major enterprise initiatives including ERP, cloud, MES, analytics, and Industry 4.0 programs
  • Ensure infrastructure readiness, scalability, and operational supportability for enterprise platforms
  • Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to support digital transformation initiatives

Financial & Asset Management

  • Manage infrastructure OPEX and CAPEX budgets
  • Monitor and optimize infrastructure and cloud spending
  • Oversee hardware, software, and cloud asset lifecycle management
  • Support procurement and technology vendor evaluation activities

What We Are Looking For:

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 10–15 years of experience in IT infrastructure and operations
  • At least 5 years of leadership or managerial experience
  • Strong experience managing outsourced IT service providers and enterprise vendor contracts
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, aerospace, industrial, or other highly regulated environments is preferred
  • Strong understanding of hybrid cloud architectures and enterprise infrastructure operations

Technical Expertise

  • Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Intune
  • Windows Server administration
  • VMware or equivalent virtualization technologies
  • Enterprise networking technologies
  • Firewalls and cybersecurity controls
  • Backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions
  • ITIL service management practices

Preferred Certifications

  • ITIL Foundation or higher
  • Microsoft Azure certifications
  • Cisco certifications (CCNP or equivalent)
  • VMware certifications
  • CISSP or equivalent cybersecurity certification
