Responsibilities
- Design and implement resilient cybersecurity architectures with recovery by design principles (incident response, disaster recovery, business continuity).
- Conduct security gap assessments and lead remediation plans to meet certification and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2, IEC 62443).
- Deploy and configure security infrastructure such as firewalls, secure gateways, VPNs, and related perimeter defences.
- Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing support, and security audits translate findings into actionable improvements.
- Harden hardware and systems (BIOS/UEFI settings, firmware integrity checks, disabling unused ports, physical port controls where required).
- Draft and maintain security policies, procedures, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with IT/product teams to embed security into SDLC and hardware procurement cycles.
- Monitor threat intelligence and emerging vulnerabilities and recommend defence improvements.
- Support client workshops and provide technical guidance by linking technical risk to business impact.
- Conduct onsite security activities when needed (hardware hardening, infrastructure walkthroughs, network discovery, legacy system hardening).
Requirements
- Diploma in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on cybersecurity engineering experience (security architecture, infrastructure security, endpoint/server hardening).
- Practical experience in firewall/VPN deployment and network security controls.
- Experience performing vulnerability assessments, security audits, and remediation planning.
- Familiarity with security/compliance frameworks and certifications such as ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2, and/or IEC 62443.
- Strong understanding of hardware/firmware security (BIOS/UEFI hardening, firmware integrity, physical security considerations).
- Able to write clear security policies, technical documents, and audit reports.
- Comfortable working onsite for field implementation and verification activities.
- Relevant certifications are a plus (e.g., ISO 27001, CISSP, CISM, CEH, Security+, GIAC).
