The Day 2 Platform Administrator (Informatica Data Integration & Management) is responsible for the ongoing operations, stability, and governance of Informatica platforms post go-live. This role supports multiple environments and projects, ensuring systems remain secure, compliant, and performant in structured and regulated setups.
Provide Day 2 operational support for Informatica platforms including PowerCenter, IDMC, Data Quality, and MDM
Monitor platform health, availability, and performance across domain, integration, and repository services
Perform routine system checks and maintenance across Informatica environments
Support platform upgrades, patching, and hotfix implementation following change control processes
Manage user onboarding and offboarding including roles, privileges, and access controls
Set up and configure project environments, repositories, workflows, and connections
Ensure access provisioning aligns with security and least-privilege principles
Maintain accurate user access and entitlement records
Handle service requests such as access changes, configuration updates, and scheduling adjustments
Support change requests including performance tuning, workflow optimisation, and system updates
Participate in impact analysis, implementation, and post-change validation
Ensure adherence to ITSM processes and approval workflows
Perform housekeeping activities including log management, storage monitoring, and license tracking
Support backup, restore, and disaster recovery readiness processes
Maintain platform documentation and operational runbooks
Assist with audits, compliance checks, and reporting requirements
Operate within controlled and high-security environments with strict access policies
Follow defined security standards, SOPs, and data handling procedures
Collaborate with infrastructure, database, and security teams to resolve issues
Ensure all operational activities meet regulatory and compliance requirements
Work closely with project teams including data engineers, architects, and delivery managers
Communicate issues, risks, and updates clearly to stakeholders
Manage multiple operational requests across projects effectively
Contribute to continuous improvement of support processes
Minimum 2 years of experience in Informatica platform administration, production support, or operations
Hands-on experience with at least one of the following:
Informatica PowerCenter (domains, repositories, workflows)
Informatica IDMC / Cloud Data Integration
Informatica Data Quality (IDQ)
Informatica MDM
Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL
Exposure to Linux/Unix environments and job scheduling tools (e.g. Autosys, Control-M)
Experience working in secure or controlled environments
Strong understanding of Informatica administration including user roles, permissions, and domain configuration
Familiarity with ITSM processes such as incident, service request, and change management
Experience in patching, upgrades, and production environment support
Ability to troubleshoot workflows, sessions, and system-level issues
Basic scripting knowledge for automation and support tasks
Strong attention to detail and operational discipline
Ability to work in structured and compliance-driven environments
Clear and effective communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Client-focused and accountable mindset
Experience in regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, or public sector
Exposure to high-security or air-gapped environments
Familiarity with Informatica command-line tools (infacmd, pmcmd, pmrep)
Understanding of data governance, lineage, and metadata management
Experience supporting multiple Informatica products in parallel
