Job Title: Infant Care Main Teacher
Reports To: Centre Principal / Vice Principal / Lead Senior Teacher
Work Location: Pasir Ris
Period: September 2026 - February 2027
We are looking for a nurturing and experienced Infant Care Main Teacher to perform daily routine care and provide the best possible care to babies under her charge, creating a safe and engaging learner-centred environment in line with the Josiah Way and the ECDA ECE Framework.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily routine care and provide the best possible care to babies under her charge
- Create a safe and nurturing learner-centred environment where babies can explore, experiment, and interact with teachers and peers to learn and acquire skills and knowledge
- Plan and implement the curriculum under the guidance of the Centre Principal to ensure a well-run, purposeful, engaging and child-centred programme responsive to babies needs, in accordance with the Josiah Way and the ECDA ECE Framework
- Participate actively in assessing the needs of the babies
- Role-model professionalism in appearance, speech and action
- Establish good relationships with parents as partners in care and education
- Work with and support the Principal and other staff at the Centre in enhancing the quality of babies care and educational experience, such as preparing scrapbooks, progress reports, and Parent-Teacher Meetings
- Contribute one's talents and professional expertise towards the Centre's initiatives, care systems, educational programmes and projects
- Work with the Centre Principal and other stakeholders in all marketing activities carried out by the Centre
- Keep abreast of the latest care and educational developments and continually upgrade one's skills and knowledge
- Get involved in simple action research projects
Requirements
- Fulfil ECDA's Training Requirements for the Infant/Toddler track - e.g. WSQ Advanced Certificate in Early Years (Infant/Toddler Care) [ACEY-IT], or Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education (Infant/Toddler) [DECCE-IT / ADECCE-IT], or an ECDA-recognised equivalent
- Registered with ECDA as an Infant Educarer/Teacher
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Medical/health clearance to work with children
- Good command of English
- Willing to undergo a criminal background check
