About the role


Wharton Preschool Pte Ltd is seeking passionate and experienced Infant/Toddler Educators to join our team on a part-time or full-time basis. As an Infant/Toddler Educator, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality early childhood education and care to our youngest learners in the Sembawang North Region.

What you'll be doing

  • Identify How Children (Birth to Age 3) Learn and Develop
  • Assist in Planning and Implementing Developmentally Appropriate Teaching, Learning and Caregiving Approaches Aligned to Curriculum Frameworks
  • Assist in Observation and Documentation of Children's Learning
  • Assist in Integrating Respectfulness, Responsiveness and Reciprocity within the Curriculum
  • Assist in Setting up Quality Learning Environments
  • Display Sensitivity to Each Child's Needs (within a Group Setting) through Respectful, Responsive and Reciprocal Interactions and Relationships with Children
  • Support Children's Development of Secure Attachments through Warm, Consistent and Nurturing Caregiving (Infant/Toddler Educarer, Beginning Educarer)
  • Adhere to Health, Safety, Nutritional and Hygiene Standards and Procedures (Infant/Toddler Educarer, Beginning Educarer)
  • Collaborate with Colleagues to Foster Positive Workplace Relations (Infant/Toddler Educarer, Beginning Educarer)
  • Communicate and Relate Effectively at the Workplace
  • Demonstrate Understanding of the Centre's Vision, Mission and Values (Infant/Toddler Educarer, Beginning Educarer)

What we're looking for

  • WSQ Higher Certificate in Infant Care (HCIC) or Advanced Certificate in Early Years (ACEY)

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with infants and/or toddlers in a childcare setting

  • Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching/caregiving practices

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children and their families

  • Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for early childhood education

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team
