Position Summary
We are looking for an
Industry Research Analyst with deep expertise in the
power and energy sector. The role centers on delivering
rigorous industry analysis by combining
macroeconomic insights with sector knowledge to support project valuation and investment strategies across the
Middle-East region.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular industry and market analysis for the power and energy sector.
- Evaluate macroeconomic factors including interest rates, exchange rates, and financial markets and integrate findings into project valuation and tax assumptions.
- Prepare detailed research reports and insights to support senior management and investment decisions.
- Leverage sector knowledge to assess risks, trends, and opportunities in global energy markets.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align research outputs with business strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Energy and Power Engineering, or other power/energy-related disciplines.
- Solid understanding of power transmission and distribution (T&D) systems.
- Proven experience producing industry research and analysis reports for the power/energy sector.
- Proven capability in macroeconomic analysis (interest rates, FX, financial markets) with application to project valuation.
- Excellent communication and analytical writing skills for producing high-quality market insights.
- Prior exposure to emerging market coverage is a plus.
