About Us: The Landscape Industry Association (Singapore) (LIAS) was incorporated in 2001. Our mission is to develop and promote professionalism and quality in landscape products and services, supporting Singapore's vision of being a City in Nature. LIAS fosters better networking among members, encourages industry discussions, and maximizes trade opportunities. We disseminate industry updates, organize trade programs and promotions, and conduct activities related to landscaping.

Job Description: LIAS is hiring an Industry Development Executive to support our initiatives. The role encompasses the following responsibilities:

Main Tasks:

  • Assist the Manager with government-funded programs/initiatives, providing full administrative and logistical support for related activities such as seminars, workshops, and outreach events.
  • Collaborate with the Manager to drive various initiatives, marketing government-funded programs to different target audiences through engagements on physical, online, and hybrid platforms.
  • Track program progress in accordance with government guidelines, deliverables, KPIs/outcomes, and financial reporting, including submitting claims.
  • Maintain effective project management, follow SOPs, ensuring timely completion of project deadlines and proper documentation.
  • Assist the Manager plan and develop subsequent government-funded programs aligned with the Landscape Sector Transformation and secretariat independence.
  • Perform basic bookkeeping duties: general ledger, accounts payable, cash management, and bank reconciliation.

Other Tasks:

  • Support the Manager in identifying and initiating training programs that align with LIAS's objectives for continuous professional growth and skill enhancement in the landscape industry.
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing a wide range of LIAS events and activities, including budgeting, venue selection, vendor management, logistics, on-site coordination, social media marketing and website update

Reporting: This role reports to the Industry Development Manager and works in coordination with the LIAS secretariat.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of administrative experience.
  • Minimum Diploma holder. Fresh graduates and mid-career candidates are welcome to apply training will be provided.
  • Relevant work experience in a Trade Association, event management is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Meticulous and able to multi-task.
  • Team player with a positive work attitude.

Other Information & Benefits:

  • 5-day work week, Mondays to Fridays (9:00 AM - 6:00 PM).
  • Hybrid working arrangement with 2 days WFH/week.
  • Salary Range: SGD 3000 to SGD 3500 per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
