Job Description

The FairPrice Group Chain Business Unit (FPG SC BU) or Grocery Logistics of Singapore Pte Ltd (GLS) is a key logistics service provider to NTUC FairPrice Group and external customers. Our services provided include inbound logistics, warehouse and fulfilment and last mile delivery to the stores, customers and B2C home delivery.

Job Purpose

This role is crucial in supporting our ambitious warehouse automation and transformation project focusing primarily on the eCommerce network. You will play a key part in driving efficiency and continuous improvement by leveraging data analysis, establishing operational process standards, and providing project management & change management support. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a significant strategic initiative and shape the future of our warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

  • Data-driven process re-engineering:
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret warehouse operational data (e.g., inventory, throughput, cycle times, equipment performance) to support process re-engineering of the eCommerce network
  • Support for detail design and customization of automation solutions (AGV, Sortation etc) tailored to specific warehouse needs, including layout design, system integration and process re-engineering
  • Collaborate with vendors and technology partnerships to new process and solution meet functional requirements and performance standards
  • Perform simple simulations and modeling to evaluate the impact of proposed automation and process changes.
  • Operational Process Standards Development:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish warehouse operational processes & standards, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping after transformation
  • Implement new operation processes & standards for automated systems and equipment.
  • Conduct process mapping and gap analysis to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency gains.
  • Ensure process standards are aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Project Management Support:
  • Assist in Continuous Improvement / Automation projects from planning to implementation, manage resource plan, cost, timeline and across all related work streams and functions.
  • Assist to communication of projects to various stakeholders and collection of feedbacks
  • Assist in regular status reporting on project implementation progress to project stakeholders and sponsor(s) to enable overall project progress monitoring.
  • Assist in documentation of project plans, action item lists, follow-ups etc.
  • Any other adhoc duties and projects as assigned

  • Change Management Support:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of new technologies and processes.
  • Provide training and support to warehouse staff on new systems, procedures, and equipment.
  • Assist in communication with stakeholders at all levels to address concerns and manage expectations.
  • Gather user feedback, and translate that feedback into actionable improvements.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates on progress and challenges.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Data Science, or a related field.

RELEVANT KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in data analysis and reporting, preferably in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations and processes.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI/Tableau).
  • Experience with process mapping and standardization methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with automation transformation projects will be a plus.
  • Familiarity with warehouse automation technologies (e.g., automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS), autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), warehouse management systems (WMS)) is a plus.
