We are seeking a highly capable Industrial Automation Engineer to lead the integration of multi-origin machine PLC systems into a unified SCADA, MES, and ERP ecosystem - driving operational visibility, analytics, and ESG carbon reporting.
This is a high-impact role directly shaping the plant's automation and digital infrastructure.
Role Overview
You will be responsible for integrating programmable logic controllers (PLCs) from global machine manufacturers across Japan, Taiwan, Germany, and the USA into centralised systems for:
- SCADA monitoring
- Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
- ERP integration
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central operations visibility
- Energy monitoring and ESG carbon reporting
You will bridge shopfloor automation with enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities
PLC & Machine Integration
Integrate PLC systems from international OEM machinery into plant-wide architecture
Work with platforms such as:
- Siemens
- Mitsubishi Electric
- Omron
- Rockwell Automation
- Standardise communication protocols (Modbus, OPC UA, Ethernet/IP, Profinet)
- Commission and troubleshoot PLC-to-network connectivity
SCADA & MES Deployment
- Design and implement SCADA dashboards for real-time production monitoring
- Integrate machine-level data into MES platforms
- Develop OEE tracking and downtime analytics
- Build centralised plant performance dashboards
ERP & Enterprise Integration
- Integrate shopfloor data with ICONICS (SCADA) and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Support production reporting, costing accuracy, and inventory movement visibility
- Develop APIs or middleware integrations between PLC/SCADA and ERP systems
ESG & Energy Analytics
- Integrate energy meters and utility monitoring systems
- Develop carbon tracking frameworks aligned with ESG reporting requirements
- Automate production-to-carbon intensity reporting dashboards
- Support sustainability reporting initiative
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or related field
- 5-10 years of industrial automation experience (manufacturing environment preferred)
- Strong PLC programming and integration experience
- Experience in SCADA implementation and industrial networking
- Familiarity with ERP integration and industrial data systems
- Knowledge of Industry 4.0 architecture and data acquisition frameworks
- Hands-on commissioning experience in live production environments

- Experience in corrugated or packaging manufacturing
- Exposure to MES platforms

- Experience with energy monitoring systems
