Job Summary
You will prepare specific food items and meal components at your station, follow directions from the head chef, and collaborate with the culinary team to deliver high-quality food and service. You will maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen area, manage supplies for your station, and assist in other kitchen areas as needed.
Responsibilities
- Prepare specific food items and meal components at your station according to head chef instructions to ensure consistent quality
- Collaborate with culinary team members to deliver high-quality food and service to customers
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work area in compliance with kitchen safety standards
- Conduct stocktaking and order supplies for your station to maintain adequate inventory levels
- Improve food preparation methods by applying feedback to enhance quality and efficiency
- Assist in other kitchen areas when required to support overall kitchen operations
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Qualification from a culinary school
- Past experience working in a similar culinary role
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
- Strong listening and communication skills to follow instructions and coordinate with team members
- Knowledge of best practices for kitchen safety and sanitation
- Passion for delivering great food and customer service
- Ability to multitask and organize work efficiently
- Availability to work shifts during weekends and holidays
