Job Summary

You will prepare specific food items and meal components at your station, follow directions from the head chef, and collaborate with the culinary team to deliver high-quality food and service. You will maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen area, manage supplies for your station, and assist in other kitchen areas as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare specific food items and meal components at your station according to head chef instructions to ensure consistent quality
  • Collaborate with culinary team members to deliver high-quality food and service to customers
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work area in compliance with kitchen safety standards
  • Conduct stocktaking and order supplies for your station to maintain adequate inventory levels
  • Improve food preparation methods by applying feedback to enhance quality and efficiency
  • Assist in other kitchen areas when required to support overall kitchen operations

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Qualification from a culinary school
  • Past experience working in a similar culinary role
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
  • Strong listening and communication skills to follow instructions and coordinate with team members
  • Knowledge of best practices for kitchen safety and sanitation
  • Passion for delivering great food and customer service
  • Ability to multitask and organize work efficiently
  • Availability to work shifts during weekends and holidays
