In-House Counsel - Energy Company

The regional headquarters of a large Japanese energy company is seeking an attorney to become a key part of their Singapore team. A successful candidate will have a keen interest in all aspects of the energy business, including commodities trading and cross-border regulatory issues, and a desire to learn about and play an important role in the company.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer (any common law jurisdiction) with 6-10 years PQE.
• A background in corporate practice.
• Experience with cross-border transactions.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Singaporean or Permanent Resident.

Preferred Attributes

• A strong interest in the energy sector and applicable law.
• A desire to take on a role of responsibility within a corporate structure.
• Exposure to commodities trading, international regulatory law and compliance issues.
• In-house experience.
• Ability to thrive within a fast-paced environment and handle a variety of responsibilities.
