Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager with strong Japanese proficiency and experience in IT system development or implementation within the banking sector. The successful candidate will oversee large-scale banking system projects, collaborating closely with Japanese-speaking stakeholders and a diverse internal team to drive projects from planning through to execution.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project management, including project planning, timeline and progress tracking, issue and risk management, resource allocation, and governance reporting.
- Understand and adhere to the processes involved in banking system development or implementation projects.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Communicate effectively with Japanese clients and internal teams to align project objectives and manage expectations.
Requirements & Preferences
(Must)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in banking system development or implementation.
- Fluent in Japanese (JLPT N1 or equivalent proficiency) for effective communication with clients and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with banking operations or IT architecture is highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of banking system structures and processes.
