IG Trader Grade Credit Desk Analyst

Details of the Division and Team:

The IG desk is part of Credit Flow Trading, sitting within the Global Financing & Credit Trading (GF&CT) business unit. The trading desk acts as a market maker in the Investment Grade Bond market. You will partner closely with the Institutional Client Group (ICG), Research Analysts and Capital Markets to provide liquidity to our clients & support DB's new issue business. Will require in-depth knowledge about existing Investment Grade markets and ability to analyze credit/rate risk.

Your key responsibilities:

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Act as a market maker to provide liquidity to our clients in Investment Grade Bonds
• Build your franchise in your sector & with clients to capture market share
• Own & manage the market risk exposure of your trading positions
• Leverage the ICG Credit sales team to source liquidity
• Work closely with Desk Analysts to critically evaluate trading opportunities
• Support Capital Markets in distributing new issues

Your skills and experience:

• 1 to 2 years experience in market-making US Investment Grade Bond transactions within a Tier 1 financial organization.
• Deep understanding of US Client base and IG franchise.
• Key relationships established with US clients and knowledge of their trading interests.
• Entry-level to a few years experience in market-making Investment Grade Bond transactions
• Understanding of risk management of trading desks
• Understanding of existing relationships with buy-side clients active in this space
• Strong knowledge of the US Investment Grade sector (Corps)
• An interest in strong risk management and profitable trading
