Role Purpose

The Manager, APAC IFS Pricing will lead the regional pricing desk for International Freight Services (IFS), ensuring competitive, accurate, and timely pricing solutions for APAC tradelanes. This role is critical to supporting IFS growth strategy, margin optimization, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pricing Leadership
  • Manage APAC IFS Pricing Desk operations, including RFQs, spot quotations, and premium proposals for FCL/LCL shipments.
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies aligned with global procurement and commercial objectives.
  • Process & Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to FMC filing requirements and internal SOPs for rate management.
  • Oversee CargoWise integration for automated workflows and pricing database standardization.
  • Collaboration
  • Work closely with Asia Commercial Team (ACT), procurement, and operations to deliver competitive pricing and maintain SLA compliance.
  • Provide market insights and pricing trends to support tenders and strategic bids.
  • Governance & Reporting
  • Monitor contribution margins, validate buy/sell rates, and ensure accurate data integrity.
  • Prepare monthly performance reports and pricing analytics for leadership review.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in freight forwarding pricing or procurement, with strong exposure to Intra-Asia tradelanes (preferred).
  • At least 3 years in a managerial role leading pricing or procurement teams.
  • Strong knowledge of ocean freight pricing, RFQ processes, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in pricing tools and systems (e.g., CargoWise, Cargosphere).
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
