Job Description: IFS Team Lead - ERP Implementation & Security (SBM Offshore / Similar Environment)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced IFS Team Lead to oversee end-to-end delivery of IFS ERP initiatives, including full-cycle implementations, system revamps, and ongoing environment governance. The ideal candidate will manage a high-performing technical team, partner with cross-functional stakeholders globally, and lead all aspects of change management, testing, release governance, and IFS security.
This role requires deep expertise in IFS ERP, strong leadership capabilities, and proven experience driving successful go-lives in complex enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Delivery Management
- Lead and mentor a team of six functional/technical consultants across two major workstreams:
IFS ERP Implementation and IFS System Revamp Programs. - Manage full resource planning including interviewing, onboarding, performance assessment, and offboarding.
- Provide accurate resource and effort estimates for releases and go-lives to support planning, forecasting, and stakeholder alignment.
Go-Live & Release Management
- Produce detailed runbooks for each go-live and coordinate all associated activities.
- Track and report program status in steering forums, leadership meetings, and operational reviews.
- Manage escalations, ensuring rapid resolution and minimal business disruption.
- Oversee hypercare support for all releases, guiding the team in issue resolution, solution validation, and environment stabilization.
Change & Release Governance
- Represent the team in CAB (Change Advisory Board), reviewing and presenting change requests.
- Ensure rigorous pre-CAB assessment of all changes to maintain system stability, compliance, and quality.
- Review changes submitted by cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with release standards and security policies.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Build strong partnerships with global project managers, functional leads, and business stakeholders.
- Coordinate end-to-end SIT (System Integration Testing) and UAT (User Acceptance Testing) cycles, ensuring readiness, communication, and alignment across participating teams.
- Work closely with Change Management to prepare user lists, security setups, and BDR (Business Data Roles) configurations for each release.
IFS ERP Security & Access Governance
- Serve as Competency Lead for IFS Security, contributing to capability building, training, and enterprise-wide support for IFS security practices.
- Own end-to-end ERP security and access governance across all non-Production IFS environments.
- Review and approve access requests, ensuring alignment with Segregation of Duties (SoD) policies, Oracle constraints, and industry best practices.
- Advise on Production governance and security model improvements.
Continuous Improvement & Documentation
- Capture lessons learned after each deployment and drive continuous improvement initiatives across teams and processes.
- Enhance documentation standards, operational readiness, and repeatability of go-live activities.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7-12 years of experience in IFS ERP environments, with at least 3+ years in a Team Lead or Delivery Lead role.
- Strong understanding of IFS security models, permission sets, base profiles, and SoD frameworks.
- Proven experience managing enterprise-scale ERP implementations and environment governance.
- Expertise in release management, CAB processes, change governance, and hypercare management.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with experience working in global, cross-functional environments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage SIT/UAT cycles and align multiple teams toward delivery.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Experience preparing runbooks, resource plans, risk logs, and status dashboards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in an offshore/global delivery model.
- Certified or trained in leadership frameworks such as Connected Manager (Harvard Business Publishing) or similar.
- Experience designing enterprise security architecture for IFS or similar ERP systems.
- Exposure to ITIL practices or holding ITIL Foundation certification.
