Job Title: ICT Executive (Special Education School)

Job Purpose
The ICT Executive is responsible for providing comprehensive ICT and Audio-Visual (AV) support to staff and students, ensuring the effective use of technology to enhance teaching, learning, and school operations. The role also involves managing ICT/AV resources and contributing to the development and delivery of ICT-related curriculum, including digital and media literacy.

Key Responsibilities
1. ICT & AV Technical Support
- Provide first-line technical support for ICT and AV equipment (e.g., computers, tablets, projectors, interactive panels).
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and system issues for staff and students.
- Support classroom technology integration, including assistive technology for students with special needs.
- Set up and manage AV equipment for school events, meetings, and training sessions.
- Liaise with external vendors for maintenance, repairs, and system upgrades.

2. ICT & AV Resource Management
- Procure ICT and AV equipment in accordance with school policies and budget.
- Maintain inventory of ICT/AV assets and ensure proper documentation and tracking.
- Ensure timely maintenance, servicing, and lifecycle management of equipment.
- Monitor software licensing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Recommend and implement new technologies to improve teaching and operational efficiency.

3. Curriculum Development & Instruction
- Support the development of ICT curriculum, including digital literacy, media literacy, and cyber wellness.
- Design and adapt ICT learning materials suitable for students with diverse learning needs.
- Conduct ICT lessons, workshops, or training sessions for students.
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate ICT into classroom teaching and learning.
- Promote safe, responsible, and ethical use of technology among students.

4. Systems & Network Support
- Assist in the administration of school ICT systems, including user accounts, email, and learning platforms.
- Support basic network infrastructure and connectivity issues (LAN/Wi-Fi).
- Ensure data security, backup processes, and adherence to IT policies.

5. Training & User Support
- Provide training and guidance to staff on the use of ICT tools, systems, and educational technology.
- Develop user guides and documentation for ICT systems and tools.
- Support onboarding of new staff in ICT-related matters.

6. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure ICT practices comply with school policies, PDPA requirements, and MOE guidelines.
- Promote cyber safety and digital responsibility within the school community.
- Maintain safe handling and usage of ICT/AV equipment.

Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Educational Technology, or related field.
- Preferably 3-5 years of relevant ICT support experience (experience in a school environment is an advantage).
- Familiarity with AV systems and classroom technology.

Skills & Competencies
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of Windows/Mac systems, common software applications, and basic networking.
- Ability to support and adapt technology for students with special educational needs.
