Job Scope:
Assist in developing, reviewing, and teaching of lower secondary computer education programmes for secondary school students in the following areas:
- Microsoft Office skills, such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint, to prepare them for Microsoft Office Certification
- Coding language (e.g. Python, Swift), including the use of Swift Playgrounds or equivalent online platforms
- Computational thinking and problem-solving using programmable devices or robotics kits such as Micro:Bit, M5GO, LEGO robotics kits, or equivalent, incorporating coding in Python or block-based programming
- School Teaching and Learning platforms (e.g. Teams, OneNote Class Notebook)
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools (e.g. Copilot, ChatGPT, NotebookLM)
- Video Editing using tools such as Canva, Capcut or equivalent
- Any other relevant applications
Develop, review and teaching of makerspace education activities such as Cricut-based craft and design, 3D printing, or equivalent
Assist in training Infocomm Club students to create videos, graphic posters and animations
Coordinate and support students participation in multimedia-related competitions
Maintain the school's photography equipment
Provide technical support and manage the school website using relevant content management platforms, such as Isomer or equivalent
Provide multimedia support for school programmes and events, including:
- Developing collateral materials for school programmes, events and external collaborations
- Providing photography and videography support
Create multimedia resources for teaching and learning
Any other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Preferably 3 years or more of relevant experience in ICT training, computer education or multimedia services, ideally within a school environment.
- Experience conducting ICT lessons or workshops for students.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Teams and OneNote/Class Notebook.
- Knowledge of coding and robotics, such as Python, Swift, Micro:Bit, M5GO, LEGO Robotics or block-based programming.
- Familiar with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot or NotebookLM.
- Experience with multimedia/video editing tools such as Canva, CapCut, iMovie or Adobe applications.
- Experience with website content management and/or makerspace activities such as 3D printing or Cricut would be advantageous.
- Strong classroom management, communication and student engagement skills.
- Independent, proactive and a good team player.
Additional:
- Contract Period - 1 Jan 2027 to 31 Dec 2028
- Mondays to Thursdays: 8:00am to 5:30pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
- Fridays: 8:00am to 5:00pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
- Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holiday
