JFSL is a nature-inspired STEM & STEAM learning centre led by examiners and experienced international educators. We run small-group (1:8) and 1:1 programmes from Primary to IBDP with a focus on problem-solving, data literacy and exam confidence.
The role
We're hiring an IBDP Mathematics HL tutor to deliver high-impact small-group classes and 1:1 clinics. You'll prepare students for IB Analysis & Approaches (AA) HL (support for Applications & Interpretation (AI) HL is a plus), sharpen exam technique, and guide strong Math IA (Exploration) work.
Key responsibilities
- Teach HL (and selected SL) topics with clear, step-by-step explanations and exam strategies.
- Plan lessons aligned to the IB subject guide set and mark past-paper tasks with markscheme-style feedback.
- Coach students on HL problem-solving, mathematical communication, and calculator/CAS use (TI-Nspire/Desmos/GeoGebra).
- Support the IA process (topic scoping, methods, data/tech, structure, academic integrity) - analysis remains the student's own.
- Run quick diagnostics, track progress, and communicate next steps to families.
- Contribute resources/solutions to our shared library uphold safeguarding and centre policies.
What you bring
- Degree in Mathematics or a closely related field teaching qualification or strong tutoring track record.
- 3+ years teaching/tutoring IB DP Math HL (AA) familiarity with AI HL welcomed.
- Strong command of IB assessment: command terms, grade descriptors, markschemes, and timing strategies.
- Clear communication, patience, and a results-plus-wellbeing mindset.
- Eligibility to work in Singapore commitment to safeguarding and PDPA compliance.
Nice to have
- Experience across MYP/IGCSE pipelines.
- Comfort with digital tools (Google Classroom, Desmos, GeoGebra, LaTeX) and creating solution keys.
